David Osio graduated with honors from Andres Bello Catholic University in 1988 with a degree in Law. He also studied international banking at the Institute Estudios Superiores de Administracion. He began his career in leadership in 1981 as the president and CEO of OPED Enterprises. But Osio would also be using his law degree with tremendous success. He later entered law by joining the team of MGO, a law firm in Caracas. While there he became one of the best legal advisors in the world and much sought after for his very learned counsel.
He could have remained in the legal industry and had a very good career, but he then reentered the banking industry where he soon ascended to become vice president of Commercial Banking. During his time with the bank he had tremendous success, strengthening the company in customers and in value. However, in 1993 he decided to start his own company, founding Davos Financial Group. It was the first company in Venezuela that wholly specialized in giving financial advice and asset management to top Venezuelan banking companies. Since its founding the company has done extremely well and continues to grow. He has since also created similar companies all over the world. Each of these companies has agreements with major banks in their sector of the world.
Each of Osio’s companies have also often aided non-profit organizations who support art and culture in their communities. Osio is himself a supporter of The Miami Symphony Orchestra. He is also a frequent supporter of the Children’t Orthopedic Foundation and the Wayuu Taya Foundation. For his many contributions to society, Osio has been awarded the Medal of Honor of the United States Congress, named one of the South Florida Business Leaders 2009, one of the Movers and Shakers 2009, and name the “Best Offshore Corporate Service Provider” by New Europe. http://www.slideshare.net/davidosio
