The world of advertising is filled with the need for creative talent. Often many producers for advertisements fail due to their lack of true creativity. However, Jose Borghi is not such a man. He has succeeded to become one of Brazil’s top ad agency creative geniuses. He is the man who is responsible for the Brazilian advertising agency, Mullen Lowe.
Being a creative genius did not come easy. Jose had a great deal of creative difficulty while in middle school. He could not come to a conclusion for what he wanted to be when he grew up, as a vocation to become involved with. This came to an end the night that his sister took Jose to a theater. The theater was displaying a variety of presentations that focused on televised Brazilian advertising. Many people may think that sitting down to purposely watch commercials is boring. However, all of the advertising that was being shown in the theater had won awards for how creatively they were made. Each presentation had won a Cannes Film Festival award, which was shaped like a golden lion. These awards fueled a desire within Jose, that one day he would win such an award himself. He knew at that moment that he wanted to become an owner of an ad agency when he grew up.
Jose completed his education at the PUC-Campinas, which is a Brazilian institution. He then founded an advertising agency with his friend Erh Ray; they named their agency BorghiErh from their unified names, and produced many successful commercials. Their success get the attention of Lowe, who decided to purchase their agency and update the name to Borghi Lowe. With more success, the agency added the Mullen Group, eventually becoming the ad agency Mullen Lowe.
