The institution is based in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
One of the most research studies that Dr. Jorge Moll has been heading has been mostly on altruism. The study contradicts the established philosophical views on the matter as it proved that altruism, being selfless, and executing acts of kindness and charity are a fundamental part of the morale of a human and are not at all a higher faculty (http://moll-lab.org/our-team/jorge-moll). In fact, on his research, Dr. Jorge Moll discovered that altruism is a basic need for every person as the par that responds to it is the same that responds to food and pleasure, and other basic needs.
