Dr. Walden is one of the most successful and well-respected beauty surgeons in the country. She was recently named of the 24 best cosmetic surgeons in the U.S. She trained with the best of the best of plastic surgeons in New York before returning to Austin, Texas, her hometown, to continue her practice. She is one of the few women that have ever sat on the board of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, which she currently still serves.
Dr. Jennifer Walden did not get to where she is today because of good luck and charm. Her magnificent success is because of her hard work and dedication to her profession. Her professional drive combined with her keen intelligence, talent, and familiar support system provided her with the tools necessary to conquer a field and make a path for other women to follow.
Like many professional women, Dr. Walden was faced with the decision of choosing family over career, but Dr. Walden is not one for back down from a challenge. She was not married and did not have any suitors at the time, but she did want kids of her own. She decided to opt for in-vitro fertilization and her two boys were born later that year in November of 2010.
She moved back down to Austin to raise her two sons closer to her family like she had been raised. The daughter of a dentist father and surgical nurse mother, Jennifer knew the value of an intellectually supportive family. After graduating from Anderson High School, she earned an undergraduate Biology degree from the University of Texas. She later applied to the University of Texas Medical Branch to attend medical school.
Over the years, Dr. Walden has worn many hats. She is one of the greatest cosmetic surgeons in Austin, Texas, she’s acted as a media commentator, she’s academically established, and she founded Jennifer L. Walden, M.D., PLLC and Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center, PLLC; both of which are based in Austin with an office in Marble Falls, Texas.
