Charlamagne Tha God, co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show, the Breakfast Club and features television personality at Viacom recently interviewed with Esquire to discuss Charlamagne’s opinion on Eminem’s new Album Kamikaze. Charlamagne is known for being upfront, and unapologetically honest in his reviews of people, artists, and politics and his statements in this interview were no different.

Charlamagne Tha God is a popular social media influencer and executive producer of his own production company, has built a following of loyal enthusiasts that value his opinion and wait to hear his review of musical projects before they listen to them, making him an esteemed member of the hip-hop community.

Because of his controversial popularity, Eminem mentioned Charlamagne twice in his album Kamikaze on “The Ringer” and “Fall” demonstrating just how strong Charlamagne’s influence is in the genre. When asked what he thought about being mentions, Charlamagne claims he was flattered, saying “Early in my career, I was only being dissed by Chingy. Now I’m being dissed by Eminem [one of the greatest lyricists ever]. Life is great.” Charlamagne Tha God has come a long way in his career from humble beginnings in a small town in South Carolina. To be recognized as valuable enough to be in Eminem’s album, no matter the connotation, is a milestone.

Charlamagne Tha God explains that he has never been able to relate to Eminem due to differences in world views and experiences, but he acknowledges that Eminem is “one of the Greatest MC’s”. When asked his thoughts on Eminem’s offensive lyrics to Tyler the Creator on his bisexuality, Charlamagne expressed that he doesn’t think Eminem cars about offending anyone, including the LGBT community. He says that although Eminem may not care about offending the LGBT community, he would be interested in hearing a response from a hip-hop fan who is a member of the LGBT community. Although the comments don’t offend him personally, he would like for the voices of the offended party to be heard. Find Related Information Here.
